Trainspotting-Bar fight scene

Bar Fight Scene (London) Begins-1:18:25 Ends-1:22:23 The scene begins with Renton, Begbie, Spud and Sick boy talking around a table in a bar in London discussing the money they made and what they will do with it going forward. Throughout the scene it keeps to low-key lighting making it seem that some thing bad may happen. The scene also is filled with diegetic sound from people talking in the background and music from a radio (not shown). At the start of the scene Renton and Spud are sat opposite Begbie and Sick Boy as well as the camera switching between the two pairs which can be seen as a metaphor and foreshadowing of how Renton and Spud are going to be the only ones to have money by the end of the film, this is also referenced to multiple times during the scene such as when Begbie threatens them for if they steal the money and when Sick Boy says he would have took the money and ran, which again separates the four characters showing Begbie and Sick Boy as bad and Spud and Renton...

The Dark Knight-Sound Analysis

Image
At the start of the scene diegetic sound is used to emphasis the realism of the movie and the 'haunting' presence of The Joker and showing that even though he is the prisoner, he is in charge as he controls the scene as he vocally over powers Commissioner James Gordon even though Gordon is in the position of power and should be in charge. As the scene continues the diegetic sound is still being used to show the realism of the film as intended by the director, not only just by voice but also when Gordon removes the cuffs of The Joker the diegetic sound is used to play with the audiences emotion as they now know this monster is free creating fear and tension for the viewer. Next in the scene we hear a door closing but don't see it using diegetic sound to create suspense as we dot know what will happen next, then we hear the lights being switched on revealing Batman behind The Joker when diegetic sound is used again when Batman slams The Jokers head against the table creat...

Prisoners clip analysis The clip begins with wide shot establishing the setting of the scene, showing the viewer a dark car a small diner as well as the weather with it being late at night and there being heavy rain which is also emphasised by the diegetic sound of the rainfall. The establishing of the setting gives the viewer a feel for the themes of the scene as it is common with horrors and thrillers due to the time of say and heavy rainfall giving the viewer a glimpse of the tone. Following this the camera switches to a full body shot of a man eating in the diner using diegetic sound to show this as at first we are shown him from and sitting down the diegetic sound in this part of the scene is also used to keep the viewer hooked on the weather and tone of the scene do to the thunder and rainfall which can be heard in the background. Then the camera slowly zooms in on the man as he talks to the waitress in a kind and polite manner giving us an idea in to the mind of the ...
